WELCOME CONOR, OUR NEW LANGUAGE ASSISTANT!

Hello! My name is Conor and I am your new teaching assistant for this year. I am 20 years old and I am from Ireland but I live in England with my parents and my older sister. I am in Oviedo because I am studying at the University until June.
Living in Spain is very different to living in England. People eat very late here. In England I normally have my dinner at 6 in the evening but people from Oviedo eat at 9. It is different but I love Spain and I really like this city.
I love to travel. Last week I went to Madrid. It was my first visit to the capital and I thought it was beautiful! This week I am going to Valencia with some friends and I am really excited. I love food and everyone tells me the paella in Valencia is the best! In England we do not eat paella so I am very excited to try it.
I play a lot of sport and I listen to music everyday. My favourite sport is rugby but I also play football with my friends. I support Chelsea, who do you support? My favourite music group is The Red Hot Chilli Peppers. I have seen them at concerts 3 times. I think they are amazing!
That is enough about me. This year I am here to help you to improve your English.

Tree song

Trees, trees, trees
We have been working very hard on our school project about trees. We have worked in English, Science and Art.
Would you like to sing 'The tree song?'

LYRICS
Trees, trees, trees,
Have roots, and trunks, and leaves,
Trees, trees, trees,
Have buds, and fruits, and seeds,
Trees, trees, trees,
A home for birds and bees,
We all need our trees, trees, trees...

Home for nests of flying birds,
Home for buzzing, honey-bees,
Home for bats so brown and black,
Some squirrels share those big tall trees...
Shades a slithering sharp-toothed snake,
Big bugs that blow there in the breeze,
Many things are making homes,
In green, green leaves of these tall trees!

Trees, trees, trees,
Have roots, and trunks, and leaves,
Trees, trees, trees,
Have buds, and fruits, and seeds,
Trees, trees, trees,
A home for birds and bees,
We all need our trees, trees, trees...

They live a very, long, long time,
A very, very long, long time,
Their age can get much greater than,
Grandpa & Grandma's age combined!
They grant us all the greatest things,
Each year they grow a new growth ring...
Those magic, ancient, wise old trees
Have seen all human history...

Trees, trees, trees,
Have roots, and trunks, and leaves,
Trees, trees, trees,
Have buds, and fruits, and seeds,
Trees, trees, trees,
A home for birds and bees,
We all need our trees, trees, trees...

Sweet maple syrup,
And all kinds of fruits,
And wood to make chairs,
Real rubber for boots!
They clean up the air,
They keep it real fresh,
Supply oxygen,
When we take a deep breath...

Trees, trees, trees,
Have roots, and trunks, and leaves,
Trees, trees, trees,
Have buds, and fruits, and seeds,
Trees, trees, trees,
A home for birds and bees,
We all need our trees, trees, trees...

Well they don't take much,
For what that they give,
Only sunlight, and water to live...
Maybe some soil,
To help them stand up,
And maybe some love,
So they don't' get cut|...
Trees protect us,
Let's protect them too,
Preserve our trees?
It's what we should do!

Trees, trees, trees,
Have roots, and trunks, and leaves,
Trees, trees, trees,
Have buds, and fruits, and seeds,
Trees, trees, trees,
A home for birds and bees,
We all need our trees, trees, trees...

Welcome to Miriam and Alberto, our teachers in training!

Welcome to our school!

Hello! I am Miriam and I am studying a Master Degree in Bilingual Education in the Oviedo’s University.

I love kids. I expend a really great time with them. They are amazing, funny, creative and innocent. For that, every time that I am with them I reaffirm my idea that teaching fits perfectly to me.

I really hope to enjoy a great time with you in the school.

My name is Alberto, I'm 23 and I'm in my last year of teacher training practices. Even though I am from Ponferrada, my family has some ties in eastern Asturias, and I've been living in Oviedo for a pretty long time.

I really love languages, and this is the reason why I decided to become an English teacher. I decided to apply for Baudilio Arce because I have received very good opinions about the school and its English program.
I think that's all from me, I'm sure I will have a wonderful stay
 here and learn a lot.
